Young Writers' Camp for grades This 5-day camp program is designed to inspire creative thinking and promote a love of writing. Campers will experiment with different kinds of writing for a variety of audiences and purposes.
Young writers will build their self-confidence and fluency as they write in a relaxed community environment and make new friends.
Young Writers in Nature - Grades Dates: Young Writers in Nature: Connecting Children With Nature Through Exploration grades This 5-day program provides an opportunity for students to satisfy their innate curiosity by learning how the world works through the exploration of our natural world. Activities include nature journaling and sketching, poetry and expository writing, use of field guides to discover local native plants and ecosystems, and creative thinking and problem-solving.
Margit Boyesen and Janis Jones Description: Young Writers and Photography grades This 5-day program will integrate the art of photography with the craft of writing to expand the way students see and experience the world around them. Emphasis will be placed upon effective self-expression through the integration of images and words.

This workshop supports students in navigating an increasingly dense informational world by teaching them to read critically, explore multiple points of view, and to take a stand on important issues. Topics to be covered during the program include: A limited number of partial need-based scholarships are available for this program.
Fall follow-up counseling date to be determined. This time will allow students to read sample essays, learn about the role of personal statements in the application process, and explore a variety of writing styles and topics useful in the process. This program will provide personal attention to each student. Students will make an appointment to meet one-on-one in October with an essay counselor to revise and complete their essays.
